Kathmandu: Nirdosh Nepal

  • Unanswered Life

A new chapter of life has begun,
As I turn the final pages along with every lesson learned,
I will search…
For joys and sorrows…
For what is mine and what is foreign…
For experiences, teachings, mistakes, flaws, and weaknesses…

Within this circle of time,
Among those who point fingers and those who hold hands,
Among worldly attachments, wealth, and the ties of a lifetime!
Why am I? Who am I for? And who are for me?
The relationships tied to me raised these questions
And so?

The meaning of living an unanswered life
Is like a dew drop resting on a colocasia leaf.
Within every sunrise and sunset,
I long to ask the distant peak of a towering mountain—
Within every beginning and every end,
Sunshine and rain,
Coolness and heat,
The distinct seasons that change with time,
The blooming flowers,
The sprouting shoots,
The growing seeds,
The seeds, the blossoms, the fruits, and—
The stories filled in bare branches, and the sorrows that have fallen—

I wandered, searching for life’s purpose,
For rules, thoughts, and principles,
For honor and self-respect.

I made only his viewpoint
Into my own life,
And within the rights and wrongs
Separated by his eyes, I kept swimming.
Breath’s presence was enough to be known—then it ended.

The final page of life—
I can neither turn back the pages,
Nor correct the book,
Nor will life give me another test.

Within the silent circle,
Amid the class struggles heaped by society,
I could not be fully understood.
So, the title of my book—
I will write it myself.

Within the silent, fragile, unanswered boundary—
    Separate… separate… separate lives
